Guidance

These fees are for guidance only and will depend on the time and materials used. Where approximate costs are given, estimates will be given prior to treatment.

Clear from the start

Our approach to pricing

We’re a private dental practice, which means NHS fee bands or appointment time limits do not constrain us. This allows us to spend the time your treatment genuinely needs, use the highest-quality materials, and focus entirely on achieving the best outcome for you — rather than fitting within a fixed-price structure that doesn’t account for complexity.

Every patient receives a written treatment plan before any work begins. This sets out exactly what we’re recommending, why, and what each element will cost. There are no surprises, no hidden charges, and no pressure to go ahead with anything you’re not comfortable with.

If a treatment plan involves several stages, we’ll talk you through the costs at each stage and give you time to consider your options. We understand that dental care is an investment — particularly for more complex treatments. That’s why we’ve made it as easy as possible to spread the cost.

Denplan

Denplan Excel

Spread the cost of your dental care

Denplan is the UK’s leading dental payment plan, trusted by over 1.5 million patients nationwide. Instead of paying for each appointment as you go, Denplan lets you spread the cost of your routine dental care into a simple, fixed monthly payment — so you always know what you’re paying and there are no unexpected bills for covered treatments.

At Larkfield Dental Aesthetics, we’re proud to be a Denplan accredited practice. Our team has completed Denplan’s quality assurance assessment, which gives you additional confidence in the standard of care you’ll receive.

Essential

Denplan Essential

Covers your two routine check-ups and two hygienist appointments per year, plus routine X-rays — everything you need to keep your mouth healthy as a matter of routine. It also includes worldwide dental injury and emergency cover, so you’re protected if something goes wrong while you’re away from home.

Ideal for patients with generally healthy teeth who want the convenience of a fixed monthly payment and the reassurance that their routine care is taken care of.

Care

Denplan Care

Includes everything in Denplan Essential, plus a discount on restorative treatments such as fillings, crowns, and root canal treatment. If you anticipate needing more treatment, or simply want greater financial certainty across all your dental care, Denplan Care provides a more comprehensive level of cover.

Monthly categories and current membership rates are shown in the fee guide above.

What’s not included in Denplan?

Denplan covers routine preventive care and, depending on the plan, provides discounts on restorative treatment. It does not cover:

  • Cosmetic treatments (teeth whitening, composite bonding, veneers, Invisalign)
  • Dental implants
  • Facial aesthetics treatments
  • Orthodontic treatment
  • Laboratory fees for crowns, bridges, and dentures beyond the plan discount

These treatments are available as private treatments alongside your Denplan plan. We’ll always be clear about what is and isn’t covered before recommending any treatment.

Payment options

How to pay

For treatments not covered by Denplan, we accept the following payment methods:

Cash

All major debit and credit cards

Bank transfer (for larger treatment plans, by prior arrangement)

For larger treatment plans — such as dental implants, Invisalign, or multiple cosmetic treatments — we’re happy to discuss a staged payment schedule. We want dental care to be as accessible as possible and will always do our best to find an approach that works for you.

Genuine value

What your fee includes

We think it’s worth being clear about what you’re paying for when you choose Larkfield Dental Aesthetics — because ‘dental fees’ can mean very different things at different practices.

The full time of an experienced, qualified dentist or hygienist — unhurried, with no pressure to rush

High-quality materials throughout — premium composite resins, laboratory-made restorations from specialist UK labs, and reputable pharmaceutical products

A clinical environment that is fully CQC registered, regularly inspected, and maintained to the highest standards of infection control

A written treatment plan before any work begins, so you always know exactly what’s planned and what it will cost

Clear aftercare instructions and follow-up support if you have any concerns after your appointment

Access to our team between appointments for advice — just call or email us

We believe that transparent, honest pricing combined with high-quality care represents genuine value. Our aim is always to give you the best possible outcome for your long-term oral health — not to upsell treatments you don’t need.

Questions

Frequently asked

What is Denplan and how does it work? +

Denplan is the UK’s leading dental payment plan. You pay a fixed monthly Direct Debit, which covers your routine check-ups and hygienist appointments (and in some plans, a discount on further treatment). It removes the cost barrier to regular dental care and means you always know what your routine dentistry will cost. We’re a Denplan accredited practice — call us on 01732 521123 to find out more.

How much does Denplan cost per month? +

Denplan monthly fees are set individually based on your oral health needs at the time of joining — patients who require more complex routine care pay a slightly higher monthly fee. We’ll discuss the right plan and your individual monthly fee at your registration appointment. Call us for a general guide.

Do I have to pay upfront for treatment? +

For shorter, single-appointment treatments, payment is typically taken at the end of the appointment. For longer treatment plans involving multiple appointments — such as implants, Invisalign, or a course of cosmetic work — we’ll discuss a payment schedule at the start of treatment. We always confirm fees in writing before work begins.

Do you offer payment plans or finance for expensive treatments? +

We understand that larger treatments represent a significant investment. For complex or high-value treatment plans, we’re happy to discuss staged payments or instalment arrangements where possible. Please speak to our team when your treatment plan is discussed and we’ll do our best to find a solution that works for you.

Will I be charged for a consultation? +

A new patient consultation is a chargeable appointment — this covers the time of a full oral health assessment, any clinical records we need to take, and a detailed discussion of your dental health and treatment options. The fee is listed in our fee guide above. For facial aesthetics consultations, please see our Facial Aesthetics section.

Are there any hidden charges? +

No. We provide a written treatment plan before any work begins, which sets out every element of the recommended treatment and its associated cost. We will always ask for your consent before proceeding with any treatment and will never carry out work you haven’t agreed to. If anything changes during treatment — for example, if we find something unexpected — we’ll stop, explain the situation, and confirm the updated cost before continuing.

Is Denplan worth it if my teeth are healthy? +

For most patients, yes. Denplan Essential typically costs less per month than the equivalent pay-as-you-go cost of two check-ups and two hygienist appointments. It also includes worldwide dental injury and emergency cover. The real benefit, though, is that it removes the cost barrier to attending regularly — and regular attendance is the single most effective way to keep dental costs low over the long term.
